Dr. Kankana Ghosh
Dr. Kankana Ghosh is a Mumbai-based actor known for her versatility and passion for storytelling. Her recent film “Lunar Witch” was released on Hungama Play. Originally from Assam and raised in Kolkata, she began her acting journey as a child artist in the regional film Asur: A Scratch on Heart.
Kankana has represented as a pleader in Supreme Court, then worked as Government official and served Central Government as a Public Policy Maker for Foreign Investment under Ministry of Commerce & Trade Industry.
Kankana joined as an Assistant Professor of law in Kingston Law College (Under West Bengal State University) in the year 2021 and served their for two years and then worked as Public Policy Maker.

Dr. Kankana Ghosh is the founder of KG Creative Private Limited owing three brands:
1. KG Films providing the activities of Film making. KG films has produced Lunar witch released under Hungama OTT in 11th February 2026;
2. KG Legal Associates providing the legal services under various matters like Civil, Criminal, Corporate & Commercial, Family & Matrimonial, IPR matters. She has been pleaded under Supreme Court, Delhi High Court, Calcutta High Court and Bombay High Court.
3. Kavya Brew is the production hub of tea trading & exporting established in Mumbai.
Her educational Qualifications:
She has cracked CLAT 2014 and pursued law graduation. She completed BA.LLB (Hons.) in Constitutional law in the year 2019.
With strong intelligence, she attempted and cracked CLAT 2019 for law masters. She has completed LLM, specialised in Business laws in the year 2019 and pursued double master degree with M.A. in Criminal law & Forensic Science from one of the top National Law University in India.
She pursued PhD in law on the topic “The Impact of Foreign Collaboration in Indian Capital Market: It’s Legal Issues & Challenges”.
She has presented her paper in Four International Conferences. Her tremendous academic excellence has been spotted with her top three Article publications in Lawscopus Indexed Journal.
Ultimately, she has been awarded with the doctorate degree in law from Amity University Rajasthan in the year 2025.
And she has cracked the most India’s prestigious competitive exam UGC NET in the year 2021 and then hired for their academic contribution as an Assistant Professor of law under Kingston Law College, Kolkata.
She had received a lot of accomplishments as Resource Person, Panelist, Chair Person and Judge in Various International Conferences, National Seminar, Moot Court Competition and Mock Trial for Police Officers organised by Amity University Kolkata, Amity University Rajasthan and Jorhat Law College, Assam.
She has organised various National Seminar, International Conferences and has been invited as key note speaker to various webinars. She has worked as a researcher on carbon mapping project conducted under West Bengal State University in collaboration with West Bengal National University Jurisdical Sciences, Kolkata in the year 2021.

Kankana is the founder of the Assam Tea brand “Kavya Brew” and also the Associate Partner of the Legal Firm “M & B Solicitors” covering the Jurisdictions of Calcutta High Court, Delhi High Court, Bombay High Court and Supreme Court.
Kankana has completed her phd (doctorate degree) in law from Amity University Rajasthan in the year 2025
She has started her career in acting as Child Artist in Assamese Film Industry “Asur – A Scratch on Heart” following her passion, she has been the brand face of International brand like “Oriflame” for few years and appeared in TV Commercial ad “Tanishk” at Calcutta.
She has achieved the title of “Miss Jorhat”, Assam in the year 2018. Then debuted in Tollywood industry (Bangla movie) Lalkuthi as lead character in the year 2023 for which she has been awarded with “Dada Saheb Phalke Award” in the year 2025. She worked with big banners like “T-Series” and “Joy Mukerji” Productions as lead character and after completing her acting course from “The Actors Truth”, she has produced and acted in her first short film “Lunar Witch”.
Kankana is Professionally trained as Dancer, Vocal Singer, Pianist, Mixed Martial Artist and Painter.
